Dignified slaves!

I don't remember my first day to school.
I missed the first day to college.
I do not want to remember my first day(any day for that matter) at office!

Waiting for the office transport, I stood with a high-held head!
More the degree of temporariness, more the pride
And that we never realize!
A school van came by and as I saw
A two plaited bespectacled  girl with a heavy bag on her lap,
I breathed achievement!
Celebrating the termination of the education tenure,
My journey started reiterating this often disturbing question,
"What do people do inside the tall glass buildings?",
The answer, now found, at the least helped me name my grumbling!

Mouse clicks and keyboard strikes welcome me at workplace,
Day after day, only forcing me to realize,
That,
Where people are named resources
And beautiful days are named business days,
I cannot make any difference!
Where deadline fears are greater than that of death
And outputs outweigh efforts,
I cannot make any difference!
Where politics inside the building beat the ones outside
And where money speaks and human community turns dumb,
I cannot make any difference!
Where one neither lives in dream nor in reality
And where monitors monitor lives,
I cannot make any difference!
Where humans exist and humanity is extinct,
I definitely cannot make the slightest of differences!

But there it has, so easily made a difference in me!
It hurts to realize,
That I have started loving solitude all the time,
That I have started hoping not to see known faces.
That I can move on despite all the pain,
As if nothing happened!
It just hurts all the time. Every minute. Every single minute!

I want to throw this feeling out,
To a distance it can never reach me again.
Or perhaps anybody-
This feeling that keeps pricking my throat,
The pain causing the pain!

I want to go out. Travel. Run. Laugh. Dance.
I want to write. I want to read great pieces. Hours together.
I want to eat food I like. Cook food for my beloved.
I want to plant trees. And water them every single day.
I want a cycle to ride and clean. I want back myself!
I want that smile full of innocence. I want purity.
I want love. I want to love.
I want people around me all the time. Pampering around and getting pampered!
I want not to know what I want! I want back my childhood!

And as I stood waiting for the office transport today,
A wide smile lightened up my face
On seeing the school van
And the two plaited bespectacled girl!
My heart urged me to get into the van,
Find a seat by the window
And ask her "Will you be my friend?"!
